About me
I'm a committed freelance developer that specializes in web design and custom software development.
I create modern, easily maintained web sites for small- and medium-sized enterprises as well as community and non-governmental organizations. I also develop custom software for the industrial automation, communication, and transportation industry segments.
My passion for technology started in childhood, but was honed by a top-shelf education from NAIT (Northern Alberta Institute of Technology) with an Honours Diploma in Computer Engineering Technology (1996). Since then, over 12 years of disciplined field practice has provided me with a richly developed palette of technical and business skills.
My goal is always to establish ongoing relationships with my clients that are based on a reputation of performance and a commitment to quality.

Rob Heath
Canadian Radio Music Award recipient Rob Heath is an accomplished songwriter and performer whose well-crafted songs are receiving radio play around the world. A story-teller at heart, Rob uses words to paint pictures in the hearts and minds of his audience, creating an emotional experience for each person as his music breathes life into every character. The title track from Rob's latest album, “One More Day Above Ground” is a reminder that no matter how bad life can seem from time to time, it's still much better than the alternative, and this is philosophy that Rob exhibits throughout his music and his life.
Rob had an existing web site that he and his team used to connect with fans and to provide information to industry and media, however its look and feel was more attuned to his previous album. With the release of "One More Day Above Ground", Rob needed a site that reflected the progressing style and attitude of his music. The previous site was also difficult to maintain with up to date information, and relied on Flash for much of its content delivery.

Jay Anthony Willis
Jay Anthony Willis is an Edmonton-based songwriter and performer that successfully melds latin jazz, folk and blues into something all his own, along with children's songs, side-splitting burlesque-satirical pieces, and every once in awhile he writes solemn “occasional” music.
Jay had self-developed his own website using tools from a major web portal vendor, but was dissatisfied with the complexity needed to maintain an up-to-date presence and keep in touch with his fans. As well, his options for the site's overall visual design was limited by the tools provided by the vendor.

The Plain Janes
Each of the sisters that make up The Plain Janes claims to be the epitome of your ordinary, average girl-next-door. But truthfully they are quite the opposite of what the name suggests. Far from plain, this group of young women is creating a buzz with their rootsy brand of folk music. Drawing on a range of musical influences, they offer an acoustic sound that is very much their own.
The Plain Janes (formerly known as The Vissia Sisters) needed a new website to reflect the image of their new brand: less country-folksy, but more mature, rootsy, and polished. Their new website needed to be all about their brand and identity, yet integrate well with existing social networking and artist management tools that are popular among musicians and their fans, such as MySpace, flickr, Twitter, and Sonic Bids.
The project, led by band manager Alex Vissia, fuses a solid, roots-oriented design with the playfulness that reflects their age and informs their music. The website presents the band's latest blog and microblog entries, songs and lyrics, and fun multimedia to attract, grow, and maintain their loyal fan base.

Belgravia Community League
Belgravia is a walkable upper-middle class community in Edmonton. Its unique location in the city makes its residents especially sensitive to development, transportation, and security issues. The Belgravia Community League provides services and programs to its members; also, it is a liason for grassroots civic concerns.
The BCL needed a polished means of communicating community news and events to residents of the neighborhood as well as to promote services and resources available to residents and visitors. The design reflects the pride and quality that is evident in the streets of Belgravia, while the content represents grass-roots democracy in action -- it enables community stakeholders to observe, comment on, and participate in the free exchange of ideas pertaining to community concerns.
